French Fries of Amsterdam
We just arrived home from Amsterdam, Netherlands and we went to the two top french fry locations… as per TikTok.
Last week we were in Amsterdam and thanks to TikTok, we were able to visit a few different highly recommended French Fry places.
Fabel Friet
This was the first place we visited for fries. Day 1, fry order 1. This place was very organized with security on the street directing the line up. All the stores around the had signs saying: No standing, no fry eating. I guess it is a problem. We purchased our fries and ate it by the canal. How Dutch does that sound?
The fry order on the left was Brad’s, he had a spicy mayo. I had the fries on the right, classic mayo and parmesan. Delicious, and the mayo was oh-so-creamy. These fried were delicious and I gobbled them up.
Vlaams Friteshuis
Day number 2 and fry order number 2. These fries came in a cone, see my thoughts about that above… These fries were delicious, they were a little more crispy than fry order 1 and I went a little more adventurous with the sauce after reading a tip on Swarm. I selected a Green Pepper Mayo, which I think is less of a green / bell pepper and more of a green peppercorn. I could be totally wrong, but I’m going to find out because it was delicious. The second sauce I got was Special mix Tomato Ketchup which was ketchup, mayo and onions. That was good, but I didn’t read the onions when I ordered, which maybe I could have skipped. As you eat from the cone, you are left trying to pull out super sauce coated fries.
