Memory4.me - My new little side project
With all the stuff I consume on a daily basis... and I don't mean bread and cookies... I'm no longer the 8 year old kid that took pride that I knew every phone number of friends and family. As I aged I realized that I needed let things go. Now I have conversations with Brad where I can't remember who said what, I have a plethora of notes with random thoughts and none of it is categorized.
I built a module for me on this site that I labeled Thoughts... they integrate with the site. But I also thought it could be useful to others to keep a quick notes that are not only searchable but smartly parsed and categorized.
So it is easy. This private repository is just for you. I'm already using it for things like:
- Remember that X would be a great gift for Brad's birthday.
- I want to try this restaurant called McDonald's, I hear they have good Diet Coke.
- Today I went to Pilates and I wrecked my legs but it is all for the better good.
- I really didn't like Petit Potato with Brad and Yoni because the portions are not petit and there were no potatos on the menu. (This is completely false cause I really enjoy this resto).
So now I can search by person, event, category and full text even.
Another aspect is that I didn't want to build an app, and I use Telegram for so much, so I integrated a bot where I can do all this within the app. You can even upload a photo and it will be analyzed and you can click Enhance to pull more information intelligently for use... links, reviews etc.
Anyway, I thought this maybe useful for some, not only me.

Fun Fact
Scientists say human memory is highly fallible, which explains why you can remember every lyric to a 90s pop song but not what you actually went into the kitchen for. Memory4.me is here to rescue us from our own chaotic brains.
