Amalfi Coast

Today we experienced probably one of the most beautiful places I have been to on the planet. Our stop was in Salerno, Italy, and we did a day trip to Sorrento and then the Amalfi Coast.

The drive took us up into the hills and then looped by Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius. We then continued to our first stop, which was Sorrento. Higher on the Cliffs, it was stunning. A cute town obsessed with lemons, actually, the whole area is obsessed with lemons. All the trees were everywhere, narrow streets lined the town, and swimming in the Mediterranean was a highlight. This is a place I could definitely wish to come back to in order to enjoy the town, the food, and the swimming.

Our friend told us to make sure we checked out the dessert: Delizia al Limone. It was the first thing we tasted and I really enjoyed it. It is a creamy lemony cake.
